The LaserQC flat pattern laser scanner is an ultra-modern device used to quickly inspect the features of a flat pattern production part. The operator places the flat pattern production part on the scanner and within a few keystrokes, the scanner quickly traces the internal and external edges of the part and compares the results against the CAD model. Within seconds all of the dimensions are captured, analyzed, and reported to the operator. It uses the same solid modeling inputs as the CNC production equipment, reducing lead time and ensuring continuity between production and inspection. The LaserQC Scanner inspection time is a mere fraction required for manual inspection, drastically reducing machine downtime due to first piece and in-process inspection. |
