Company History
Magnus Manufacturing was founded in 1965 by Angelo Bonarrigo Sr. on Long Island , New York . Its primary business was sheet metal fabrication for numerous computer and aerospace firms in the area. After establishing a reputation as a leader in sheet metal fabrication, several prime DoD contractors requested that Angelo Sr. set up a satellite location in Florida to service their Southeastern operations.
After increasing requests and the well-documented downsizing of several large contractors in the Northeast, Magnus Hi-Tech Industries was established in Melbourne , Florida in 1984 to service the growing number of customers in the area. In 1990, following six successful years in the Southeast, Angelo Sr. foresaw the customer base demographic shift and decided to consolidate both operations into the Melbourne location.
With several years of growth and constant requests to incorporate additional manufacturing capability, Magnus decided to add machining services. This effort offered total turnkey solutions to its customers. In 1997, after the untimely passing of Angelo Sr., his son Frank Bonarrigo took over the operation. In the last few years Magnus Hi-Tech has made great strides in maintaining its world-class reputation. The incorporation of 3D Modeling (SolidWorks) with CAM interface, 5-Axis capability, EDM technology, laser scanning and CMM inspection, a state-of-the-art plating and finishing shop, and a new 14,000 sq. ft. fabrication shop are just a few of the many investments made in the people, machines, and facilities that keep Magnus Hi-Tech the first choice for precision fabrication solutions.
